I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. It was a gritter twist on what you normally see in these type of MTV movies, like Save The Last Dance, Step It Up, Higher Ground, etc. It was nice to actually see a story like this done with the kind of heart and soul of a movie like Billy Elliot and Saturday Night Fever.
The dance choreography wasn’t unique but it still impressed me as a viewer by just how amazingly talented these younger actors were. The acting was pretty decent, and screenplay could of use a tad bit more of a kick , but overall the movie was good for what is was, nothing more or less. I still think that the best movie of this kind of genre is without a doubt, Billy Elliot. I think the movie is near perfect and I highly recommend it. As for recommending How She Move, I’d see it if you don’t have too many other choices and just in the mood to watch a feel good movie.
